LAYOUT includes all the basic commands you'd expect to find in a CAD package, as well as a whole suite of tools specific to abrasivejet and waterjet machining, including cut quality specification, tool path fonts, gear and rack generation, and a lot more.

    Designed from the ground up specifically for abrasivejet control, MAKE controls your OMAX or MAXIEM JetMachining Center by sending precise motor control commands to move the nozzle along your tool path, while simultaneously controlling the flow of abrasive and high pressure water.   3. Intelli-CAM

    Intelli-CAM is a highly advanced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software program with two tools in one that can generate either 2D or 3D tool paths from 3D models. Simply import a 3D file from one of the many supported file types such as CATIA, SolidWorks, 3D DXF, or DWG, and the 3D object appears in an interactive window. Generating a 2D profile from any face or slice of the 3D shape is just a click away. The other side of Intelli-CAM shows that 3D pathing is just as easy.

      Training Facilities Training classes held at OMAX headquarters, located in Kent, WA, are conducted in a state-of-the-art training facility, which includes a software training lab and a fully functional machine training lab. Classes are designed with a hands-on approach, and class size is limited to assure student participation in learning activities.

  11. Micro AWJ Technology for Meso-Micro Machining

    Waterjet technology has technological and manufacturing merits that cannot be matched by most established machine tools. There is considerable demand for downsizing beam diameters of abrasive-waterjets (AWJs) to reduce costs for machining of various microproducts. Current production AWJ systems are limited to cutting features around 200 to 300 μm due to difficulties in further downsizing AWJ nozzles. Although waterjets with beam diameters 25 μm or finer have been in use for cutting a limited set of soft materials, it is the AWJ that is difficult to downsize below 200 μm.
