Applications Lab Specialist

This role supports our sales department by performing customer demonstrations, completing test cuts, programming parts and offering applications support. The position is of a customer facing and technical nature and requires interaction with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Technical and Customer Service. Requirements include a 2 year degree or equivalent experience plus 2 years working with CAD/CAM, machine tools, 3D CAD and CAM systems for multi-axis programming, and knowledge of measurement and inspection equipment (i.e. Micrometers, CMM, etc.)

CNC Programmer - Process Engineer

Work with our machine shop leadership team to develop effective CNC manufacturing processes for new and existing products; create CNC programming with Esprit programming software, identify optimal tooling and work-holding devices, enter purchase orders for tooling and work-holding devices as needed, and create set-up documentation. This position will work both in the office and out in the machine shop. Requirements include at least 5 years of experience with manual and CNC machines, at least 2 years of experience CNC programing, and have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming. Must have experience using a formal ERP system, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to read and understand drawings using GD&T terminology.

Customer Service Technician (Technical)

Provide detailed technical support as required to OMAX customers including but not limited to troubleshooting equipment problems, drawing issues, and complex mechanical/functionality questions regarding OMAX equipment. Requires a minimum of 2 years in a technical support, engineering or technician position and a 2 year technical school degree or greater. Please note that this position requires more than retail customer service experience and does not involve networks, servers or any other IT related tasks.

Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler

Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics. Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment. Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.

Inventory Clerk

Pick and stage inventory against sales orders, work orders and materials requisitions. Pull and transfer parts accurately, perform cycle counts and monitor multiple Kanban bins for replenishment on shop floor. Requirements include high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least one-year experience as a clerk in material control/parts warehouse environment, the ability to operate forklift, pick and stock parts, and a basic knowledge of Kanban principles.

Machinist - 2nd Shift

Perform complex & specialized machining of all metals including polymers while responding appropriately to ensure completion of all products to production, quality and technical specification. Must have a minimum of five years' experience operating CNC equipment (lathe, mill, radial drill, saw, etc.) in the metal machining industry. Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, accept responsibility and accountability and demonstrate flexibility. High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience. Large milling machine and 4-axis milling experience strongly desired.

Machine Shop Supervisor

Supervise a team of approximately 30 Machinists by establishing and providing work station assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up support for absent personnel. Additional responsibilities include implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, coordinating machine maintenance and new equipment installations, and preparing cost reduction rationalizations for process changes, tool/fixture designs, and capital equipment requests. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years supervising and directing work sequence within a Machine Shop; extensive experience in setup and operation of CNC/Manual machines, and strong CNC Programming proficiencies.

Planner

Plan materials requirements for product sales, spares, and forecasted orders as required meeting production demand. Generate work orders for manufacturing work cells and coordinate workflow based on established priorities. Set, monitor and adjust Kanban quantities to meet pull system requirements based on Master Production Schedule. Must have a minimum of four years’ MRP experience in a manufacturing environment plus a Bachelor’s degree in business or manufacturing technology related field. Other requirements include strong communication, both verbal and written, with good interpersonal and problem solving skills; and strong computer literacy with experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook. APICS certification is desired; experience and working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

R&D CNC Machinist

Work closely with engineering teams to design and produce quick turn, high precision parts from drawings or sketches on CNC mills and/or lathes. This is a journeyman position requiring a minimum of 10 years CNC mill and lathe experience, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience with Mastercam and Solidworks.

Primary responsibilities include the maintenance and extension of an existing Delphi based suite of applications used for programming, controlling, servicing, and monitoring abrasive waterjet machine tools. This involves re-factoring an existing codebase and re-skinning it for improved user experience. Operate OMAX abrasive waterjet machines manually testing OMAX software to look for bugs, confusing points, conflicts, and potential problems. Document all results in a clear, concise and organized manner. Experience with machine tools and CAD/CAM, one-year formal experience with programming language, and proficiency in all operational aspects of Windows XP through Windows 10 is required. Must have experience debugging and testing software, as well as creating, maintaining and translating comprehensive documentation with excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
