Customer Service Engineer

We have an immediate need for a qualified systems type engineer with both mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated experience. The selected candidate will be highly capable in troubleshooting all aspects of an OMAX and Maxiem waterjet machine. This individual is the direct escalation path for difficult problems initiated by customer service and field service techs and is the sole liaison to the engineering team leads.

Customer Service Technician

This position reports to our Customer Service Department supervisor delivering the highest level of quality service to our customers around the globe. In this critical role, you will provide mechanical, electrical and technical support to customers including troubleshooting waterjet equipment problems, ordering parts and general questions regarding OMAX equipment. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years in a technical support, engineering or technician position, with experience in mechanical and electrical control system troubleshooting. Please note that this position requires more than retail experience and does not involve networks, servers or any other IT related tasks.

Electrical Design Engineer

This position is part of the Product Engineering team composed of engineers, designers, and drafters working on the development of new OMAX product lines. The Electrical Design Engineer will provide technical expertise and guide efforts to effectively diagnose and solve problems from the customer support and production environments which are escalated to engineering for assistance. BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ applicable work experience involving industrial electronics.

Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler ( 8 openings )

Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics. Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment. Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.

Field Service Technician (varies locations)

The selected candidate for this position will report to the Field Service Supervisor. This person will travel to domestic and/or global customer locations weekly from your home location. Uncrating and inventory of the OMAX supplied equipment. Perform system test - repair correct anything not operating properly. Ensure job is complete and the site is clean and tidy. Machine trouble shooting assistance. 2 years of technical school degree or equivalent. 3 years previous experience as a field service technician. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Auto CAD (or similar) drafting software experience. Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Machinist ( 3 - second shift ; 1 - first shift )

Perform complex & specialized machining of all metals including polymers while responding appropriately to ensure completion of all products to production, quality and technical specification. Must have a minimum of five years' experience operating CNC equipment (lathe, mill, radial drill, saw, etc.) in the metal machining industry. Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, accept responsibility and accountability and demonstrate flexibility. High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience. Large milling machine and 4-axis milling experience strongly desired.

Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to the Electrical Engineering group manager. The Senior Electrical Engineer performs tasks with minimal supervision and may be called upon to lead project development team activities and mentor junior level designers. Execute electrical engineering duties on a multi-disciplinary product development team tasked to facilitate the successful development, characterization, production and support of industrial water jet machining systems. Prepare design requirements, performance specifications, functional descriptions, and validation plans appropriate to support highly reliable electrical circuit designs in electrically noisy environments.

The qualified candidate must have demonstrated experience operating various shipping systems such as UPS and Fed Ex as well as solid experience with international shipping, including generating the proper documentation. We are seeking an individual with experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior experience in international shipping, including generating the proper international documentation.
