Applications Lab Specialist
This role supports our sales department by performing customer demonstrations, completing test cuts, programming parts and offering applications support. The position is of a customer facing and technical nature and requires interaction with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Technical and Customer Service. Requirements include a 2 year degree or equivalent experience plus 2 years working with CAD/CAM, machine tools, 3D CAD and CAM systems for multi-axis programming, and knowledge of measurement and inspection equipment (i.e. Micrometers, CMM, etc.)
Customer Service Engineer
We have an immediate need for a qualified systems type engineer with both mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated experience. The selected candidate will be highly capable in troubleshooting all aspects of an OMAX and Maxiem waterjet machine. This individual is the direct escalation path for difficult problems initiated by customer service and field service techs and is the sole liaison to the engineering team leads.
Customer Service Technician ( Technical )
Provide detailed technical support as required to OMAX customers including but not limited to troubleshooting equipment problems, drawing issues, and complex mechanical/functionality questions regarding OMAX equipment. Requires a minimum of 2 years in a technical support, engineering or technician position and a 2 year technical school degree or greater. Please note that this position requires more than retail customer service experience and does not involve networks, servers or any other IT related tasks.
Electrical Design Engineer
This position is part of the Product Engineering team composed of engineers, designers, and drafters working on the development of new OMAX product lines. The Electrical Design Engineer will provide technical expertise and guide efforts to effectively diagnose and solve problems from the customer support and production environments which are escalated to engineering for assistance. BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ applicable work experience involving industrial electronics.
Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler ( 8 openings )
Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics. Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment. Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.
Field Service Technician (varies locations)
The selected candidate for this position will report to the Field Service Supervisor. This person will travel to domestic and/or global customer locations weekly from your home location. Uncrating and inventory of the OMAX supplied equipment. Perform system test - repair correct anything not operating properly. Ensure job is complete and the site is clean and tidy. Machine trouble shooting assistance. 2 years of technical school degree or equivalent. 3 years previous experience as a field service technician. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Auto CAD (or similar) drafting software experience. Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Machinist ( 3 - second shift ; 1 - first shift )
Perform complex & specialized machining of all metals including polymers while responding appropriately to ensure completion of all products to production, quality and technical specification. Must have a minimum of five years' experience operating CNC equipment (lathe, mill, radial drill, saw, etc.) in the metal machining industry. Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, accept responsibility and accountability and demonstrate flexibility. High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience. Large milling machine and 4-axis milling experience strongly desired.
Machine Shop Supervisor
Supervise a team of approximately 30 Machinists by establishing and providing work station assignments, employee training, overtime assignments and back-up support for absent personnel. Additional responsibilities include implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, coordinating machine maintenance and new equipment installations, and preparing cost reduction rationalizations for process changes, tool/fixture designs, and capital equipment requests. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years supervising and directing work sequence within a Machine Shop; extensive experience in setup and operation of CNC/Manual machines, and strong CNC Programming proficiencies.
The Planner reports to the Production Control Supervisor. The Planner generates work orders for manufacturing work centers and coordinates work flow based on established priorities. Set, monitor and adjust Kanban quantities to meet pull system requirements based on Master Production Schedule. Minimum four years of MRP experience in a manufacturing environment. Degree in business or manufacturing technology related fields is required.
Quality Assurance Inspector ( 2nd shift )
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The QA Inspector assures that customers receive a product that meets the functional and quality requirements as defined and represented to them by Engineering and Marketing at the time of their purchase. Performs inspections on parts using CMM ( Coordinate Measuring Machine ) may be required. High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of machined parts and assembly inspection as well as testing of manufactured products.
R&D CNC Machinist
Work closely with engineering teams to design and produce quick turn, high precision parts from drawings or sketches on CNC mills and/or lathes. This is a journeyman position requiring a minimum of 10 years CNC mill and lathe experience, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience with Mastercam and Solidworks.
R&D Lathe Machinist
The R&D CNC Lathe Machinist reports to the R&D Machine Shop Supervisor. This position is part of the R&D machine shop team that produces machined parts for the OMAX engineering team. The CNC Lathe Machinist will work closely with his peers and the engineering team to produce quick turn, high precision parts to support OMAX engineering efforts.
We are seeking a skilled and highly energetic Receiving Clerk with a wide range of receiving experience in a manufacturing/inventory environment. The appropriate candidate needs to have at least 2 - 3 years of data entry experience within an MRP/ERP system, effective communication skills, exhibit professional customer service to both internal and external customers, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Senior Delphi Developer
Primary responsibilities include the maintenance and extension of an existing Delphi based suite of applications used for programming, controlling, servicing, and monitoring abrasive waterjet machine tools. This involves re-factoring an existing codebase and re-skinning it for improved user experience. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree, plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience developing in Delphi (Any version), strong windows application development experience, and robust User Interface design, development, maintenance, and refactoring abilities.
Senior Engineering Technician
The Senior Engineering Technician reports to the Tables Supervisor. This person will work closely with the product development and sustaining engineering team. The successful candidate for this position will be a critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
