Customer Service Technician (Technical)
Provide detailed technical support as required to OMAX customers including but not limited to troubleshooting equipment problems, drawing issues, and complex mechanical/functionality questions regarding OMAX equipment. Requires a minimum of 2 years in a technical support, engineering or technician position and a 2 year technical school degree or greater. Please note that this position requires more than retail customer service experience and does not involve networks, servers or any other IT related tasks.
Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler
Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics. Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment. Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.
ERP Systems Analyst
The ERP System Analyst reports to the Director of Information Technology. This position is part of a team that designs, develops and supports OMAX's in-house custom enterprise resource planning tools. The ERP System Analyst is responsible for ensuring the operational success of OMAX ERP tools via advanced technical troubleshooting, data reporting and analysis, documentation and contributing to the design process of software development efforts. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to understand complex SQL scripts and a familiarity with LINUX system environments.
Field Service Coordinator
Provide technical direction to customers and OMAX technicians for table installations, repairs and troubleshooting. Work directly with customers to resolve utility, water and/or site issues prior to scheduling new machine installations. Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical position with experience in aspects of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical/electronic controls.
Field Service Technician - 3 Regional Openings; 1 in each of the following areas (Southwest, Midwest and Southeast, must live near an International Airport)
Install new machines and provide post-installation support services at customer locations world-wide (Road-warrior travel). Must have a 2-year technical school degree or equivalent, 3 years previous experience as a field service technician, a current passport and driver's license, excellent mechanical and electrical control system aptitude, and the ability to routinely lift 75 pounds.
Machinist - 2nd Shift
Perform complex & specialized machining of all metals including polymers while responding appropriately to ensure completion of all products to production, quality and technical specification. Must have a minimum of five years' experience operating CNC equipment (lathe, mill, radial drill, saw, etc.) in the metal machining industry. Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, accept responsibility and accountability and demonstrate flexibility. High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience. Large milling machine and 4-axis milling experience strongly desired.
Machinist Assistant - 2nd Shift
Assist with production machinery set-up by gathering tools and materials required by the bill of operations. Read and understand work orders, pick tickets, routings, schedules and raw material labels. Ensure all products are completed to production, quality and technical specification. Requires a High School diploma or GED, demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and comprehend instructions in English as well as possess good oral communication skills.
R&D CNC Machinist
Work closely with engineering teams to design and produce quick turn, high precision parts from drawings or sketches on CNC mills and/or lathes. This is a journeyman position requiring a minimum of 10 years CNC mill and lathe experience, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience with Mastercam and Solidworks.
Regional Sales Manager - Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama
Deliver new capital equipment sales against growth and quota responsibilities by selling independently and/or cooperatively with distribution channel partners. The qualified candidate will reside in Birmingham Alabama or Jackson Mississippi. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies within a territory consisting of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and possibly western Tennessee. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sales/Marketing is required, plus five to ten (5 - 10) years of quota driven industrial/capital equipment sales experience.

Senior Engineering Technician
Work with OMAX engineering teams to assemble, test and validate new product designs, prototype designs and pre-production products. Design, fabricate and assemble fixtures and other tooling; perform experiments in our R&D Lab and document results. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and relevant vocational training; familiarity with mechanical drive systems, variable frequency drives and servos; the ability to assemble and troubleshoot electro-mechanical mechanisms and products; as well as experience with hand tools and high accuracy measuring devices. Must be able to read and produce 2D engineering drawings, have drafting experience in 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred) and be proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, High Pressure
Design high pressure mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems for use in OMAX Abrasive Water Jet Machining Tables, Pumps, and Accessories. Develop test plans to ensure product meets design goals for both performance and longevity based on an understanding of the range of customer use cases. Requirements include a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters or PHD preferred, plus a minimum of 5 years' product design experience of complex machinery and/or mechanisms for production that are reliable, manufacturable and serviceable.
Senior Delphi Developer
Primary responsibilities include the maintenance and extension of an existing Delphi based suite of applications used for programming, controlling, servicing, and monitoring abrasive waterjet machine tools. This involves re-factoring an existing codebase and re-skinning it for improved user experience. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree, plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience developing in Delphi (Any version), strong windows application development experience, and robust User Interface design, development, maintenance, and refactoring abilities.
Software Developer UX/UI
Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups leading to intuitive user experiences. Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions; make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features; and coordinate with developer team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design. Requirements include a BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS or a related field or equivalent practical experience, plus 3 or more years of UX design experience.
Software Tester (Machine – CAD/CAM)
Operate OMAX abrasive waterjet machines manually testing OMAX software to look for bugs, confusing points, conflicts, and potential problems. Document all results in a clear, concise and organized manner. Experience with machine tools and CAD/CAM, one-year formal experience with programming language, and proficiency in all operational aspects of Windows XP through Windows 10 is required. Must have experience debugging and testing software, as well as creating, maintaining and translating comprehensive documentation with excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
Software Tester Level 1 (Machine)
Perform manual and automated testing of OMAX software, looking for bugs, confusing points, conflicts, and potential problems. Document findings in a clear, concise and organized manner. Review and test help screens for accuracy, completeness and clarity; write and maintain help screen documentation. Must have strong experience with C# or C++, scripting level coding ability, as well as the knowledge and understanding of various types of testing (Regression, Sanity Pass, Language verification, etc.). Experience with machine tools and/or CAD/CAM is a big plus.
Produce and maintain technical/training documents supporting end-users of OMAX abrasive waterjet equipment, products, and accessories. Responsibilities include writing, formatting, and producing publication-ready equipment operation, equipment maintenance and technical CAD software documents. Requirements include a minimum of 5-6 years of experience as a technical writer, BA degree in a relevant field, and proficiency using HTML, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Provide technical training to OMAX employees, customers, and distributors on how to install, use, troubleshoot, and repair OMAX Equipment. Develop and update technical service curriculum as required; write technical documents; and create technical training collateral and presentations to support technical training projects. Requirements include the ability to effectively communicate information to groups of people; excellent interpersonal skills; and demonstrated experience operating, troubleshooting and maintaining OMAX waterjet machines and software. In addition, the qualified candidate will be skilled in reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; have the ability to travel as needed, both domestically and globally; as well as solid experience using various Windows applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create customer facing documentation for customers, distributors, and engineering.
