Field Service Coordinator

Provide technical direction to customers and OMAX technicians for table installations, repairs and troubleshooting. Work directly with customers to resolve utility, water and/or site issues prior to scheduling new machine installations. Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical position with experience in aspects of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical/electronic controls.

Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler

Apply comprehensive mechanical/electrical skills in the assembly of standard mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment systems. This includes interpretation of bill of materials, blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic as well as electrical schematics.  Requires knowledge in routing wires, assembles and installing low voltage electrical and electronic components, such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment.  Vocational or accredited certification within the electrical/mechanical field is preferred. Must have 3-5 years of advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience with an original equipment manufacturer, furnish own tools, routinely lift 75 lbs. and work overtime as needed.

Set-up and operate CNC lathes, mills and machining centers with minimal supervision.  Select, align and secure work-holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to manufacture parts as drawing-specified per documented set-up instructions.  High School diploma or GED and at least 4 years’ experience setting up and operating manual and CNC machines required; Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred.

Material Handler

Pick and stage inventory against sales orders, work orders and materials requisitions; perform cycle counts and data entry as required. Prepare spares orders for shipping and special assignments as required. Must have a minimum of one-year experience, preferably with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), the ability to operate a forklift, and good computer experience. Knowledge of MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) is strongly desired.

The qualified candidate will reside in Birmingham Alabama or Jackson Mississippi. Senior Mechanical Designer

Design precision components for High Pressure Pumps, Control Valves, Nozzles and Assemblies for use in Abrasive Water Jet Machining Systems; participate as a presenter or reviewer at design reviews and related meetings, and provide troubleshooting support to resolve issues on the production floor and at customer sites. Must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, and a minimum 5 years product design experience of complex machinery and/or mechanisms for production that are reliable, manufacturable and serviceable. Additional requirements include, experience with stress analysis, both analytical and FEA, a solid understanding of mechanical properties of materials, especially fatigue properties; and a high proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

Software Developer C#

Develop high-level quality by gathering requirements, designing solutions, implementing robust code, testing and debugging.  The ideal candidate will have familiarity with CAD/CAM, NC machine tools or robotic control and motion interpolation, good verbal and written communication skills, an eye for organization and time lines, and an innate analytical sense.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Programming, with emphasis on software development; at least 5 years of experience programming in C++/C#; and experience with 3D Graphics, Single Responsibility Principle Programming, transforms, quaternions and vector math.
