OMAX first introduced a JetMachining® Center Model 2448 specifically for the general machine shop environment
OMAX led the industry by developing the first PC Controller specifically for abrasivejet machining with built-in abrasivejet expert system

1994
- OMAX JetMachining Center Model 2652 introduced
1995
- Patent granted for Machine Tool Apparatus and Linear Motion for the Machine Tool: 5,472,367
1996

- OMAX developed their technical support "Hot Line" technical support center

- OMAX received two SBIR/STTR Phase I awards from the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense for developing low-cost waterjet precision machining of hydrogen production components and advanced ceramic matrix composites
