Responsibilities include providing installation and training support for fielded equipment, follow-up field repairs and preventive maintenance service visits to successfully resolve customer issues. Must be able to lift 75 lbs, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills and comfortable working independently. 90% domestic and international travel required from your North American home location. AS in technology is desired or 4 years of machine operation, repairs and troubleshooting experience required.
Abrasive-waterjet machine tool manufacturer seeks a Technician with electrical troubleshooting skills and motor/servo control knowledge; ability to analyze and solve customer issues via telephone within established guidelines; ability to multi-task, read schematics, experience working with BOMs and have strong written and verbal communications skills. Previous experience in mechanical and electrical control systems is required, an AS in technology is preferred, 4+ years experience assisting customers via telephone and 2+ years of machine tool operation, repair and troubleshooting; willing to travel.
Premier abrasive-waterjet machine tool manufacturer is looking for a detail-oriented software tester to design and implement test programs, find, document, and track bugs, user interface quirks, hardware conflicts, and installation issues.
Additional responsibilities will include locating and evaluating 3rd party products for usefulness, compatibility, and features, and providing written reviews and reports. Responsibilities will also include working in great detail with the company's software products, as well as test-operating the robotic machinery that it controls.
This position will involve interfacing with customer support and sometimes customers for advanced software support issues. Good verbal and written skills are required. Applicant must also be proficient with Windows platforms (Window 2000 to Windows 7), and have strong abilities to diagnose, troubleshoot, add, remove or upgrade computer hardware and software. Previous software testing experience, basic understanding of electricity, CAD/computer drawing, trigonometry/geometry and mechanical aptitude a+.
