In the event that water temperature exceeds 70° F on a seasonal or regular basis, shortened pump seal life can occur. The chiller cools the water supply for the pump which improves seal life. Depending on the rating of the chiller and ambient conditions, the water temperature can be lowered anywhere from 20° to 40°.

Water from the OMAX system's charge pump is sent through the chiller and to the waterjet pump. A portion of the water is recirculated back to the waterjet's internal charge tank to minimize water usage.
