OMAX Chiller Systems

Chiller Systems spec sheet (PDF) [463 Kb]

Inlet water being fed to the OMAX pump is required to be 70° F or below. If inlet water temperature is above 70° F a Chiller will cool the water for the OMAX pump. Depending on the rating of the chiller and ambient conditions, the water temperature being fed to the OMAX can be lowered anywhere from 20° to 40°.

Water from the OMAX system’s charge pump is sent through the chiller and to the waterjet pump. A portion of the water is recirculated back to the waterjet’s internal charge tank to minimize water usage.

In the event that water temperature exceeds 70°F on a seasonal or regular basis, shortened seal life can occur. The chiller cools the incoming water supply to the OMAX pump which in turn improves seal life.
