Automated Bulk Abrasive Delivery System

The Bulk Abrasive Hopper is made of galvanized steel. The tank can be pressurized to 100 psi (690 kPa) and can be located up to 20 feet (6 m) away from your OMAX JetMachining® Center. The system uses shop air to automatically transport garnet from the large hopper into the small hopper located at the Z-Axis, which keeps the small hopper full at all times. The Bulk Abrasive Hopper is wheel-mounted, and easy to move when it is time to refill the garnet. The Bulk Abrasive Hopper’s dimensions are 38" wide x 41" deep x 52" tall (97 cm x 104 cm x 132 cm).




Bulk Abrasive Hopper

The bulk abrasive feed system is used in conjunction with, but does not replace, the existing small-sized hopper near the nozzle. This lets you refill the large hopper without having to stop the OMAX, while the machine uses the smaller hopper. It also gives you a half hour visual warning when it has run out of abrasive, so you know to fill it before it runs out of abrasive completely.
